Money raised for SWAT Victims

The Pakistan Association of Sacramento held a fund raiser at their annual Pakistan Day celeberation at Cal Expo center. Anwar Foundation participated in the fundraiser for SWAT victims and donated $2500 for the fundraiser.

$72K raised for Sahara For Life Trust in Sacramento

The community in Sacramento after enjoying the performance of Abrar-ul-Haq on Pakistan Day came out in numbers to raise money for his trust. The goal was to at least raise $50,000 through the $100 plate dinner fundraiser arranged by the Pakistani American Association of Sacramento. As the night progressed and folks at the fundraiser got to know more about the Sahara for Life Trust, they went deep in their pockets and hearts to raise $72K through commiited and pledged donations. The Anwar foundation also pledged $12,000 for the cause and is seeking to raise additional funds for the trust. If you were not able to attend the fundraiser in person and will still like to contribute you can do so through the Anwar Foundation.

Sahara For Life Trust - Abrar-ul-Haq in Sacramento

After a stellar performance at the Pakistan Day in Sacramento last night, Abrar-ul-Haq is still in town and having a fundraiser for Sahara For Life Trust. The fundraiser will be held at Kabob Palace in Elk Grove at 7:00 pm on Monday Aug 25, 2008. Tickets are $100 per person (1 year and above). The theme for the fundraiser for tonight is "Youth Parliament of Pakistan". After a personal loss in his life, Abrar-ul-Haq successfully completed and started the operation of Sughra Shafi Hospital in Pakistan 5 years ago. He believes now the future of Pakistan is youth, hence is working with youth abroad and in Pakistan. Please come out and show your support to him. If you like to donate funds and cannot come to the fundraiser tonite, you can still contribute and Anwar Foundation will present a check for all the funds collected through our web site.
